Earlier this year, Samira and Nash had to do the unthinkable: they said goodbye to their dear son, Faisel, after four recurrences of cancer.

Thanks to leading-edge research supported by the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Faisel was able to celebrate some of life’s most incredible moments. He married his beautiful bride, Aliya, in 2015. And in February, they welcomed their son Rumi, shortly before Faisel’s passing in March.
