Ali Muhammad, 11, secures 9th position in IKLC for the district of Faisalabad, Pakistan

My name is Ali Muhammad. I am eleven and a half years old. My date of birth is December 13, which is a great honor for me and my parents. I live in Faisalabad with my parents and eight-year-old sister Malaika Hyder. My parents come from Hunza Gilgit Baltistan. I am a student in class 5 at The City School. I take an active interest in my studies and also participate in extra-curricular activities. I am an active member of my School Council and was also selected as Prefect of my class. I won different awards like 2nd position in speech, 2nd position in the science quiz, and received the highest marks in mathematics as well as for the science project.

I also participated in the International Kangaroo Linguistic Contest (IKLC), which is now know as the International English Contest, and is specifically designed to refine the communication skills in English, the skills that have a central role in education (http://www.kangaroo.edu.pk/).

I secured 1st place in my class, 9th position in the district of Faisalabad, and 22nd position all over Pakistan. I am very happy with my achievement. My sister won the Gold Medal in Class 3 in this competition and I am happy about my sister’s achievement. I am also very thankful to God, my class teachers and the Head teacher Shazia Adnan, and my parents.

I love sports. I also love to read and discover about nature, plants, animals, and planets. I have maintained a diary detailing about different animals. I want to become a scientist to serve humanity.
