Kamal Taj is the son of renowned poet Taj Qavi. He composes and performs devotional music in praise of God, His Prophets, and the Ismaili Imams. His lyrics takes his listeners on a spiritual journey and helps them develop a deeper understanding of their faith. He was born in Mumbai, India, grew up in Bangladesh and Pakistan, and came to the United States in 1978.

………..Dear Organisers of Ismaili mail and Dear Kamal Taj Qavi , Ya Ali Madad , ……It was sometimes in past , in the Years about 1970 – 80 , in Mumbai , that , Kassamali Masani Missionary was encouraging intersteds of Composing – Singing Religious Songs in Honour of Mawlana Hazar Imam , …….when , Masani Missionary , got me Introduced to Qavi Taj in Mumbai , ……we , all such religious frinds , including Nazar Kuchhy , missionary from Bharapur – Kuchh , Gujarat , along with Masani Missionary , Akbarali Babul Missionary , Ismail Dhanani Missionary , Hussein K. Nathani Missionary Poonawala , all four Missionaries from ITREB , ( then Ismailia Association) , were taking parts in Singing Religious Songs , in Waezen Assembly and Ginan e Mahefils , organised by Ismailia Association , in and around Mumbai , and particularly , at Darkhana Jamatkhana , Karimabad jk , Haasanabad jk , and more particularly in Annual General Mijlases , like Gondiya , Ghogha , Mahuva , etc. ,
I remember also his performance in Satavali Jk , in his special mood ,
It became possible for me to Stand First in Religious Songs Competition , ( total 22 participants) , Organised by Ismailia Association , India , in Karimabad JK , in 1982 , Silver Jubillee Celebrations , because Taj Qavi was Not Participant in ,
To day I am 67 , How and Where He is ? , ….who and where are others in his family ? ,
