I am immensely happy on hearing this marvellous news of a 250 bed Aga Khan Hospital in Gilgit. It was an outstanding demand of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan for such a hospital in Gilgit to cadre good medical services to the people of this remote region who have been facing massive difficulties in search for medical treatment. They were forced to go to the Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi which cost them heavy expenses and time. I believe all such medical facilities will be available in Gilgit within minimum budget and time. This hospital will play a significant role in mitigating health problems of the people of Northern Areas. People will pay gratitude to the His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan for taking into account people’s hardships in search for medical facilities.
