Iqbal and Zeenat Habib couldn’t wait to take their children to India to see their native country and the relatives who were still living there.
But in the last few days of their trip, tragedy struck the Naperville family.
Iqbal, 45, Zeenat, 39, daughter Fareeza, 10, and son Ashaz, 6, died in a car crash Friday, according to family friend Nizar Jiwani. News reports from India indicate the crash occurred in the Kirawali area after their driver lost control.
-snip- Iqbal and Zeenat Habib were from India, according to Jiwani. Iqbal has been living in the Chicago area for at least 30 years, and Zeenat moved to the U.S. in the 1990s. The family moved to the south side of Naperville in 2003 and had been active in Naperville’s Ismaili Muslim community.

Very sad. This Ismaili family was friends to my close friends Manjees living in Chicago area. Very very sad. I heard that nothing happened to the driver of the taxi. If so, the accident needs investigation.
