Dr Munir Virani coordinates the Asian Vulture Crisis Project for The Peregrine Fund. He also carries out research on raptors in Kenya in association with the National Museums of Kenya. The Augur Buzzard Project served as the basis of his PhD thesis at the University of Leicester in the UK. This Project was funded through grants from The Peregrine Fund, the Earthwatch Institute, and the Aga Khan Foundation. I am from Nepal, i have explored critically endangered vultures from far western mid hills of Nepal and i have just completed my masters disertation on vulture conservation in Nepal through vulture scholarship program from Bird Conservation Nepal, Darwin Initiative and RSPB. I am planning to explore more colonies of these natural scavengers in far western Nepal which supports vulture conservation strategies too…
