  1. Our sincere and heartfelt congratulations, Almas.. You are a real star, perhaps I should say, our Imam’s STAR.

My sister, Nadia was in Ottawa when you were bestowed with this honour, and she was in tears to learn how much difference you’ve made in this world. You stole the thunder with your speech.. WOW!

First Ismaili Woman to be elected to position in history is truly the most joyous and proud moment for our Jamat and Imam. In addition, you are the first woman from Toronto to be elected to position. No wonder Mayor Miller and Mayor McCallion joined several in congratulating you on your new role. The world is more than confident that you will excel and prosper every walk of your life and make your city, your jamat, your family and ou Imam very very happy.
What a blessing to be bestowed at the same time when our Imam was being bestowed with the Honorary Doctorate Degree in U of A.

Keep it up, Almas. Our prayers and support is always with you. The world love you… You rock…rock . rock the world. I haven’t heard of any other Ismaili sister to be shining internationally as much as you are..Kuddos!! It is the will and blessings of almighty. You are his special chosen one Almas.. no words can express how proud we are.

  7. Dearest Madam President Almas,

We are very proud of your achievement and your seva and am sure Mowla is very proud of the work you are doing and promoting in enabling others to be empowered and thus help not only themselves but their many generations. You have created that legacy. You are a living proof of the saying that the candle’s light never diminishes when it kindles the flame of another candle. Our prayers are with you that may He guide you and protect you in all your seva and endeavours.

I urge our youth and anyone who is in the position to serve to come forward in our Mowla’s quest to alleviate poverty and to provide loving care to the aged and the needy.
I will end with an extract from Mowla’s speech:
“The Qur’an, the Hadith, the sayings of Hazrat Ali, and many scholarly sources make numerous references to the forms and purposes of philanthropy. Human dignity – restoring it, and sustaining it – is a central theme. Enabling individuals to recover and maintain their dignity as befitting their status as Allah’s greatest creation is one of the main reasons for charitable action. There is dignity in the individual’s ability to manage his or her destiny. That being the case, the best of charity, in Islamic terms, can go beyond material support alone. It can take the form of human or professional support such as the provision of education for those otherwise unable to obtain it, or of the sharing of knowledge to help marginalized individuals build different and better futures for themselves. Thus conceived, charity is not limited to a one-time material gift, but can be seen as a continuum of support in a time frame which can extend to years. This means that multi-year support for institutions that enable individuals to achieve dignity by becoming self-sustainable holds a special place amongst the many forms of charity in the eyes of Islam.”

    Best wishes to you Almas,
    Azy

    Welcome to Singapore

It was really really nice meeting you in person after hearing so much about you and your dynamism and how you positively impact everyone you meet. I must admit, you’ve really had a marvellous impact on me after hearing your powerful speech. Your style of articulation along with your angelic smile and sparkling eyes is truly blessings from God. You are an inspiration to many women with and without voice. I was wrong in assuming that you are making a difference for women in developing world. You are indeed making a huge difference in developed world as well. Its comes as no surprise when one hears praises about you in most part of the world. I am proud to say that meeting with you has given me more motivation, inspiration and motivation to serve the underpriviledged. My sincere wish and prayers is to work with you in a very near future. Your members are very lucky and blessed to have a leader like you and to work with you.

You are our HERO, our ROLE MODEL and most importantly, you are our STAR – the shining STAR. We are grateful to god to have created human beings like you. Thank you.
