With regard to “The Qur’an itself repeatedly recommends Muslims to become better educated in order better to understand God’s creation”, it is perhaps very relevant to note that Prophet Muhammad said that “the first and only thing created by God was the Intellect(Aql)”
“God’s creation” is therefore a synonym for “the Intellect(Aql)”.
