Opened in September 2014, the Aga Khan Museum is the first museum in North America dedicated to the arts of Muslim civilizations. Designed by Fumihiko Maki, the Museum strives to connect cultures through its rich roster of special exhibitions, live arts programming, and diverse Permanent Collection of more than 1,000 objects dating from the 8th to the 21st centuries and spanning the Iberian Peninsula to China.
