Award-winning cookbook author Maria SpeckMaria Speck is an Ismaili food journalist and author of Ancient Grains for Modern Meals, which won the Julia Child award as well as other accolades in the publishing world (including NY Times and Washington Post top cookbook). She recently published a new cookbook, Simply Ancient Grains. Both the New York Times and the Washington Post named Simply Ancient Grains a top cookbook, and Cooking Light magazine included it as one of 100 best cookbooks of the past 25 years. Maria is currently an instructor in the professional program of the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, and has contributed to Gourmet, Saveur, Gastronomica, the Vegetarian Times, and Cooking Pleasures.
