SOST GOJAL, HUNZA: In continuation of tourism enhancement in Gilgit Baltistan a two days Khunjerav Pamir Cultural Festival was marked at altitude of 15,397 feet above sea level at Khunjerav/Khunjerab Top (A border pass between China and Pakistan) on August 26 and the second day of the event held at the border town Sost Gojal in Hunza Gilgit Baltistan on August 27.

The Khunjerav Pamir Cultural Festival was an initiative by the Karakoram Pamir Landscape KPL to enhance cooperation among countries for biodiversity management and sustainable development in the Sino-Pak border region of the western Hindu Kush Himalayan region. The festival was arranged by Khunjerav Villager Organization KVO, a local NGO working for conservation of wildlife, natural recourses and community development in collaboration with ICIMOD, AKRSP and the Government of Gilgit Baltistan.
