Prince Hussein Aga Khan's Letter to President ReaganIn 1985, Reagan and Gorbachev met for the first time during the COLD WAR — it was in Geneva. (This was the meeting that set the stage for the 1986 Reykjavik Summit and the ending of the Cold War.)

Mawlana Hazar Imam graciously allowed them to use the Noorani family’s home, at Maison de Saussure, and the family temporarily moved out to give the two world leaders and their staff time and space to hold their summit.

According to Nancy Reagan, the Begum who was her good friend had told her: “Now there’s just one thing. My son has some goldfish that he adores and would you mind feeding the goldfish in the morning. And Ronnie of course right away said ‘well, of course, absolutely’. “
