Government of Pakistan & Aga Khan Trust for Culture opens Walled City Lahore's Mughal Era Shahi HamamJune 19, 2015 LAHORE: The Aga Khan Trust For Culture (AKTC) after completion the conservation work has opened the Shahi Hamam for the public.

A project facilitated by the Walled City of Lahore Authority, Government of Punjab; Financially supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Islamabad; and Implemented by Aga Khan Cultural Service-Pakistan, affiliate of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture.

The (AKTC) has completed the conservation of the 17th century Mughal period Shahi Hamam (bathhouse) with grant support from the Royal Norwegian Embassy (RNE) According to the press release issued it stated as “The restored Shahi Hamam was recently inaugurated by Acting Ambassador of Norway, Lars Nordrum, Director General Walled City of Lahore Authority Kamran Lashari, and Akbarali Pesnani Chairman Aga Khan Cultural Service Pakistan in Lahore’s Walled City”.
