Karen Owen, CTV Calgary: The family of a Calgary woman killed in Afghanistan last week says they will not be intimidated or deterred by terrorists.

57-year old Zeenab Kassam was killed by a Taliban gunman in the Serena Hotel in Kabul, last Thursday. She was in Afghanistan volunteering as a teacher.

Her brother, Karim-Aly Kassam, says “you use fear, hate, and brute force to bring death. We chose empathy, knowledge, and hope to bring about life”.
