His Highness the Aga Khan will address Parliament at 11:00 a.m. MT in the Chamber of the House of Commons.
The spiritual leader of the world’s 15 million Shia Ismaili Muslims, the Aga Khan has been a friend of Canada for many years. He is heavily involved in international development and the improvement of education, health, and economic development, as well as the creation of new opportunities for women. Aga Khan Foundation Canada, an agency of the worldwide Aga Khan Development Network, helps improve living conditions and opportunities for the poor, without regard to their faith, origin or gender.
