Damascus, (SANA) – The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) honored State Minister for National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haidar and Grand Mufti of the Republic Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun for their efforts in the national reconciliation process.
The honoring ceremony took place on Sunday at the AKDN office in Damascus.
State Minister Haidar said that this gesture honors values, behavior and course, not individuals, calling for bolstering the value of reconciliation and asserting that Syria’s salvation is at hand.
Haidar asserted that Syrians don’t need anyone to provide them with solutions, urging everyone to be responsible and patient and become messengers of peace.
In turn, Grand Mufti Hassoun underlined the role of the AKDN in instilling noble values, saying that this gesture honors the values inherent in the Syrian people who managed to stand up to the whole world and its lies.
