dailynews.co.tz – Zanzibar — PEOPLE with dental problems, including children, will have a free of charge treatment from Thursday to Saturday in Zanzibar, thanks to a treatment camp that 15-year-old Ali Jivraji, a student at the International School of Tanganyika, has organised.
\”My aim for this project is to help our community to improve its health through better care of health,\” Ali said at a press briefing on the camp in Zanzibar.
He said as part of his school\’s personal project, he was setting up a three-day dental camp to help the community in educating and raising awareness on how important it was to look after teeth.
\”We have a renowned team of volunteers who are expected to give their time, expertise and knowledge to the dental camp. We will have dentists from the Zanzibar Help Foundation and from the Aga Khan Hospital,\” he said.
The youth mentioned volunteering dentists Dr Jafferji, Dr Fazal and Dr Lalani as among a team to serve at the camp, which is being sponsored by Double- Tree-B Hilton. He also thanked the Zanzibar Ministry of Health and Shea for Stone town for helping in setting up the camp.
