Local Filipinos, shocked at the scenes of devastation caused by last week’s typhoon that swept more than 200 mile per hour winds through their Pacific island homeland, have begun relief efforts.
Ismaili Council for Midwestern U.S. President Murad Bhaidani of the Ismaili [Jamatkhana] near Golf and Shermer roads in Glenview said he is in touch with international Ismaili leaders to coordinate a response and identify appropriate partnering agencies to provide relief.
