BIRMINGHAM, AL – A fundraising event was held in Birmingham’s Railroad Park Sunday, to help those less fortunate across the globe.
The Partnership Walk event took place in downtown Birmingham, and folks came out to enjoy the beautiful weather, and learn how they can help fight poverty.
The Walk is an initiative of the Age Khan Foundation, which raises public awareness and proceeds to help communities in some of the poorest areas of Africa and Asia.
An organizer says Sunday’s event raised $300,000 and 2,200 people attended.
