One of Ismailimail’s senior reader, Salim Currimbhoy sent us an interesting bit of information from the recent history which we are sharing.
The photo of Imam Sultan Mohamed Shah leading the Namaz was taken in Calcutta in November, 1945 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha when the Imam led the namaz. Behind the Imam in the first row in a suit and black cap is my father who was a member of the Council at that time. I was also in that gathering somewhere in the back. I am now 84 years old. After the Namaz the Imam performed the qurbani and the meat was cooked and served to the Jamat for lunch. – Salim Currimbhoy
