Thousands of participants and volunteers have come together in Stanley Park for the 29th annual World Partnership Walk this morning.
From providing clean drinking water to establishing education programs for women, money raised by the yearly event has touched countless people around the world.
The event raises money to help end global poverty in Asian and African countries.
“Direct benefactors are the communities in very rural, poor areas in Africa and Asia,” says Nadya Rahim with World Partnership Walk. “We are putting on hands-on workshops, we are training them and it’s all self-sustainable.”
