Professor Shafique Virani honoured by University of Toronto

The University of Toronto has launched it’s ground-breaking campaign entitled “Boundless.” As part of this campaign, the University of Toronto endeavours to become a global leader in key areas that are pivotal to the future well-being of our planet. The Boundless campaign recently featured Dr. Shafique Virani, who holds the joint titles of “Distinguished Professor” and Chair of Historical Studies at the University.

As a result of Dr. Virani’s cutting edge scholarly activities in promoting the values of tolerance, pluralism and diversity, the University bestowed upon him the distinct honour of representing the humane face of humanities.

Most recently, the University of Toronto’s Boundless Campaign featured a poster of Dr. Virani’s on Erin Mills Parkway – Mississauga Transit station recognizing his international scholarship in Islamic Studies towards fostering global , tolerant and well-informed citizens of tomorrow.
