TORONTO: Saturday – Sultan Jessa, a retired Ismaili journalist, was featured in today’s edition of the Globe and Mail.
The national newspaper devoted a centre spread to profile Canada’s honour roll of 2012.
Featured in the honour roll were some recipients of the Order of Canada, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medals as well as Order of Military Merit, Order of Merit of Police Services, military valour decorations and decorations for bravery.
Sultan, a past recipient of the Order of Canada, which recognizes a lifetime of outstanding achievements, dedication to the community and services to the nation, was awarded the Diamond Jubilee Medal to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 60-year reign.
The jubilee medals were presented to people from all walks of life for making Canada a better place to live.
