Shamshad and Jalal Jaffer: Vancouver was third-time lucky for young coupleBy Tara Carman, Vancouver Sun – Shamshad and Jalal Jaffer were on a plane over East Africa when the pilot came on the loudspeaker to announce that Idi Amin was giving Ugandan Asians 90 days to leave the country.

There was a collective gasp of disbelief on the plane.
