Rahim Moloo appointed Visiting Scholar, International Treaty Law, at University of Cambridge

Short biography: Rahim Moloo is responsible for legal affairs and government relations at the University of Central Asia, an international organization established by international treaty between the Kazakh, Tajik and Kyrgyz governments and His Highness the Aga Khan. He also serves as the Secretary to the University Board. Concurrently, Mr Moloo is a Senior Research Fellow at Columbia University’s Vale Center for Sustainable International Investment. Previously, Mr Moloo was based in Washington, DC as an attorney in the international disputes group at White & Case LLP where he advised sovereign states, multinationals, and international institutions on matters of international law. Mr Moloo also has experience practicing commercial litigation and arbitration in his home country of Canada where the Globe and Mail named him a “face of the future.”

Mr Moloo has degrees from Queen’s University, the University of British Columbia (UBC), and the New York University (NYU) School of Law. At NYU, Mr Moloo graduated as the All-University Valedictorian. While at UBC, Mr.Moloo won the Canadian National Debating Championships and the World Public Speaking Championships. UBC recently awarded Mr Moloo its annual Outstanding Young Alumnus Award.
