FREMONT, Calif. — When world-renowned musician Ustad Ghulam Ali and his team of musicians performed at the Naz 8 Cinemas in Northern and Southern California July 16 and 17, he encouraged his audiences to support and attend the Partnerships In Action event scheduled for the Bay Area on Oct. 9.
The Partnerships In Action Walk is an initiative of the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. and its network of volunteers across the United States, to raise awareness and funds that reduce poverty, hunger, illiteracy and poor health in Africa and Asia. One hundred percent of all donations go directly to projects supported by AKF USA; not a cent is spent on administration, according to a press release.
