The Institute for Educational Development (IED), an institution of the Aga Khan University (AKU), celebrated its 18th birth anniversary on July 1, 2011. This institute is based in Pakistan and Africa and works on training teachers in the field of education. I have recently joined the institute and am very happy to see how the professors work with their students for their betterment. The IED is planning to form new departments to research into the fields of mathematics and science. Those of us interested in such work should avail this opportunity by enlisting with the IED.
