About 50,000 Canadians in several major cities will be walking to raise funds to fight global poverty.
This is the 27th year for this unique event which will be held in Toronto and Vancouver May 29 and in Calgary and Ottawa June 12.
The Montreal event is set for June 5 starting at 9 a.m.
Rahim Tajdin, the convenor of the Montreal walk, said he decided to get involved after reading recent statistics from the World Bank.
