Qassim Tejpar always wanted to become a doctor.
“I was interested in it as a child,” he explained, adding medical shows on TLC especially sparked his interest.
For Everett Zdrill, it was the challenge of doing “something hard, something different”, and a way to combine his love of science and desire to work with people.
Tejpar and Zdrill are in Edson as part of the Integrated Community Clerkship Program, a provincial voluntary initiative for third- and fourth-year medical students which involves them practicing under a physician in a rural area for nine months. In Edson, Dr. Jo Ann Robinson and Dr. Brian Willis are the mentors.
Congratulations!
