Longtime Burnaby resident Alnoor Gova has become the third candidate to throw his hat in the ring for the Burnaby-Douglas NDP riding nomination. […]
Gova is concerned about the NDP losing the riding, because the Conservative candidate came close in the last federal election.
“I don’t want to hand over our riding to Ronald Leung and the Harper Conservatives,” Gova said in a press release. “They came within 800 votes of taking this seat away from us.”
Gova has lived in Burnaby-Douglas for more than 25 years and is currently finishing his PhD at the University of B.C., his research focusing on the Canadian political scene.
