Marketplace is Canada’s consumer watchdog. Now in it’s 38th year, Marketplace continues to be the CBC’s highest-rated television current affairs series. Whether it is a slick scam, misleading marketing claim, a product that could put your health at risk, or maddening customer service, Marketplace weeds out wrongdoing against Canadians, and puts pressure on people in power to set things right.
Nelisha Vellani is working as an Associate Producer for Marketplace (http://www.cbc.ca/marketplace/blog/about/), a CBC television investigative series that just kicked off its 38th season in early January, and has seen incredible ratings thus far.
Nelisha has co-produced this Friday’s program on misleading practices used by door-to-door water filtration companies.
The program will air on CBC Television (channel 6 for most in Ontario) at 8 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, Jan. 28, 2011). If you have cable, it will also air at 9 p.m., 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.
If you are unable to watch it on Friday, you may check out the website and watch it online, starting Jan. 29.
Nelisha is also working on other stories, including ‘Canada’s Worst Cellphone Bill’.
