Tajikistan, AKDN to continue bilateral cooperation | ASIA-Plus

DUSHANBE, December 18, 2010, Asia-Plus — Issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) were discussed here on Friday at a meeting of Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi with the AKDN Resident Representative in Tajikistan Munir Merali.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the sides discussed the results of the AKDN activities in Tajikistan in 2010 and projects designed for 2011.

Zarifi and Merali, in particular, touched upon issues of bilateral fruitful cooperation between the Government of Tajikistan and AKDN aimed at promoting economic development of Tajikistan, enhancing the country’s education and health sectors as well as cultural development and urban planning in Tajikistan, the source said.
