“Habari gani?” is Kiswahili for “What is the news today?” and is a prominent greeting in Kenya. Wanda will use this space to translate her news of the day while in East Africa to you – the reader.
With a journalism degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, Wanda is in Nairobi, Kenya on a fellowship with the Aga Khan Foundation Canada. She is working for the Aga Khan University’s new Graduate School of Media and Communication, combining her passions for journalism and international development. The encounters and experiences that she stumbles upon during this eight-month adventure will be documented here.
