Dr. Amyn M. Rojiani, director of neuropathology and autopsy at Moffitt Cancer Center and professor of oncologic sciences, pathology and laboratory medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa, has been named chair of the Department of Pathology in the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine.
“Dr. Rojiani has a strong academic pedigree and former colleagues express the highest respect for his dedication, collaborative nature and commitment to excellence,” said Dr. Doug Miller, dean of the School of Medicine and MCG senior vice president for health affairs. “These characteristics are the essence of leadership and the School of Medicine – most importantly the faculty in the Department of Pathology – is enthused about the skills and ideas he brings to the table.”
