Ismailis have a strong and proud history of volunteering and community involvement. The Olympics promotes ideals of peace, friendship and international understanding, so does the Ismaili community. It seems so natural to put them together. And this is what VANOC (Vancouver Organizing Committee) has done. Ismaili volunteers will be helping to welcome the world to Vancouver and Whistler for the 21st winter Olympics.
