Interfaith harmony in Gilgit-Baltistan urged

HUNZA, Dec 10: Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) member Mutabiat Shah has said that promoting interfaith harmony in the region was prerequisite for sustainable development.

“The PPP-led government has empowered the people of Gilgit-Baltistan and now it is our responsibility to strive for the basic rights of the people and seek further steps from the federal government,” he said while talking to media.

— snip — “We will encourage civil society initiatives and implement projects at grassroots level institutions while utilising the experiences learnt during the engagement of the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme,” he said.
