Aziz Merchant Receives the ASEAN Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award 2009

Aziz Merchant received the ASEAN Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award 2009 from Mrs Lee Bee Wah , Member of Parliament for the Republic of Singapore and President of the Institute of Engineers Singapore at the recent Conference of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations held in Singapore from 30 November 2009 to 2 December 2009. The Award was in recoginization for his work done over the years on Semi Submersible Drilling Tender Designs – Breakthrough in New Deepwater Concepts.

Aziz Merchant is the first Ismaili Muslim in ASEAN to have received such honours.
