One step can make a difference, explains Ashfan Ramji

The annual walk will take to Vancouver streets May 31 and Ashfan Ramji will be there to share his experience about programs the walk helps fund.

Through the Aga Khan Foundation, Ramji recently worked as an intern in a microfinance bank in the Tanzanian town of Mtwara.

Microfinance banks provide small business loans to aspiring business owners in impoverished areas.

The entrepreneurs are then able to provide much needed services and economic stimulation in their communities, with loans as little as $50.
