“IDLO (International Development Law Organization) is an international, inter-governmental organization with a mandate to promote the Rule of Law and good governance in developing countries, countries in economic transition and countries emerging from post-conflict situations. Since its establishment in 1983, IDLO has worked with more than 17,000 lawyers, magistrates and officials from approximately 176 countries.
The International Development Law Organization (IDLO) is pleased to announce that Mr Tajdin (Taj) Mitha has been appointed as the Organization’s Representative in Afghanistan, as of November 6, 2008. Mr Mitha is a Barrister-at-Law who practiced in Kampala (Uganda), London (England) and Vancouver (Canada), and before working for over 25 years in international development with the Secretariat of His Highness the Aga Khan and the Aga Khan Development Network.
