Antananarivo, September 15, 2008 – The Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance has expanded its operations in Madagascar to a new district with the opening of a branch in Analavory.
The Première Agence de MicroFinance (PAMF) – the Madagascar arm of the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance — began its operations in the Sofia district of Madagascar in December 2006 and has expanded rapidly throughout the island. With the addition of its new branch, PAMF is now operational in eight districts: Antananarivo, Mahajanga, Antsohihy, Port Bergé, Mandritsara, Befandriana, Mampikony, and now, Itasy. PAMF also inaugurated a new rural outlet in Analavory and strengthened its existing presence in Sofia.
