In comparision: The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi

A surgical resident from the Johns Hopkins Hospital – in an exchange program of the Reuben J. Williams Foundation – visits Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi and shares his views of the positive differences he finds between Kenyatta University and AKUH.

I started work on the general surgery service at the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH). I knew that the hospital itself would be a dramatic change from Kenyatta, but I suppose I hadn’t expected such a big difference in daily life between the two.
