Parades, fireworks mark Canada’s 140th
EDMONTON – As Canadians toast the nation’s 140th birthday this year, Edmontonians can get downright celebratory in their hometown as they hop around Alberta’s capital wearing red and white, and indulging in good old patriotic, flag-waving fun. This year the city is host to races, fireworks, arts and historic tours, a myriad of games and entertainment — and, of course, red-and-white Maple Leaf icing-covered cake.
